First Stop - Singapore!

Well we made it to Singapore at 2 am after three stop overs and 26 hours of travel time. How did people do without on demand movies?  Security was a breeze, they don't even ask you any questions, much less intense then their statement "Drug traffickers will be sentenced to death" marked in red bold ink on the customs card.

Seafood and Noodles
We spent our first two days in Singapore and explored the sites of Little India, China Town, Orchard Road, Marina Bay and Sentosa Island. A few things that we have learned,  people here know how to eat. There are no shortages of cheap places to grab a rice, noodle or soup dish with any meat or sauce you want. The second is that we are pretty sure that shopping is the national hobby. Heading to Orchard Road, we knew that it was going to be a shopping centre but there are 31 malls on one street! It is not just shops it is huge buildings that have 4+ floors and they are full of shops and people. The other confusing part was that the same stores were repeated within the same mall and all throughout the street, how many Armani's do you need!? They also have malls at basically every main MRT (Singapore's subway, which is amazing) forcing you to walk through the mall crowds to get from one place to another. Luckily neither of us are that into brands names or had room in our luggage as it would be hard to explain why we couldn't afford the rest of our trip because of a Gucci bag.

Night at Marina Bay
Our first day we headed to Marine Bay in the evening to catch the nightly lights and water show. The area is defiantly something to be enjoyed at night as when we saw it during the day I commented to Milos that it just looks like an awkward grey ship on stills. The lighting really helps. The area around the Bay looks like it was built to host the Olympics and we really enjoyed walking around, minus the fact that there was again another mall inside and that it took us about an hour to figure out how to get into the hotel.

Out next stop at train to Jerantut in Malaysia, the lady at the hostel said we had to be there at least and hour to to an hour and half early for the train, cause it is "really busy" at 6am. Spoiler alert...it wasn't.

Well, I'd say you're "missing out" on our Milestone Lunch today...but I'm thinking we're the ones missing out...
Hope you're still having a blast! We miss you! The picture is beautiful.
Looking forward to the next update,
    Janna
